If you are planning to study or do your internship in France during the next academic year, rest assured, because the French government has recently announced that international students are allowed to enter the country from July 1, according to the health situation of different countries, and that their visa and residence permit requests will be given priority./p>

“Given the challenges of university attractiveness, international students will be allowed, whatever their country of origin, to come to France and their welcome will be facilitated,” (Announcement on June 12 2020 - Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign affairs, and Christophe Castaner, Minister of the Interior.

New Erasmus+: "Hybrid mobility"

Given the current situation linked to the Coronavirus pandemic, we would like to inform you about your rights and obligations.
France is currently under lockdown. If you are still in France, this means that you must abide by the government’s instructions and stay at home as much as possible.

All valid visas and residence permits that have already been issued are automatically extended by 3 months starting on 16th March 2020.
To date (20/03/2020), the French government has not yet announced any restrictions for international students in France to return to their home countries.
Nonetheless, you should consult the official websites of your home country to make sure that they will allow your return.

Don’t hesitate to contact your country’s embassy in France by phone or by e-mail for additional information.

Above all, it is a priority to stay confined at home as long as you have not yet found a solution for return travel.
