It's always hard to feel legitimate to convince someone to hire you when you don’t have so much work experience. Here are some tips that you can follow to write a resume that will draw the attention of a recruiter.

* Resume title: No need to mention your student status in the title.

Your title should illustrate what you want to do, not what you are doing now (as this kind of information is already mentioned in the “education section” of your resume).

Therefore, the title must contain the type of position you are interested in: internship, apprenticeship, and employment... (if you are looking for an end-of-studies internship, do mention it as it is a very popular criteria) and the type of trade and/or sector you are into: if you already know what trade you want to do, mention it too.

* Education section: highlight relevant courses for the position.

This section is very important for a student looking to find his first internships. Therefore, be sure to specify, in reverse chronological order, from the most recent to the oldest, all the training you took during your higher studies. If 2 or 3 courses you have taken seem relevant to the position for which you are applying, do not hesitate to write them down.

* Experience does not necessarily mean professional experience

When you have few work experiences, remember to mention your other types of experiences such as associative life. The recruiter must know what your added value is for each of these experiences, do not hesitate to provide concrete data and results.

* Skills and interests: it says a lot about you

Do you master one or more software? Are you fluent in a foreign language? Are you an expert in a particular field? Write down all this information. This section is a good way to pass on important information about you.

* Create a LinkedIn profile

This is a good way to be visible to many potential employers and to be able to contact them more easily than by email. Once you are registered, use the same tips to create your resume on the website. Good luck!
