 Short studies

They represent two years of study post baccalaureate and are related to the business, industry or service sectors. Internships in companies generally alternate with courses. Two types of diplomas are available with these short studies:
 
- The D. U. T. (technical university degree) offers 25 specialities in the manufacturing and industry sector or the service sector List of specialities of D. U. T.
- The B. T. S. (Superior technician's certificate) List of specialties of the B. T. S.
 
 
 

 Long studies

Two types of institutions are available to you: universities and specialised schools.
 
- The universities
French universities are public institutions. In agreement with the European organisation, long studies are organised in three successive levels, leading to 3 national diplomas: bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
 
 
- The universities of higher education
They are public or private selective institutions, in the fields of engineering sciences, architecture, business and management, or translation, interpretation, journalism. Generally, these schools offer 5 years training courses.
 
 
- Coop/sandwich courses
The work-study program prepares students for a BTS, IUT, Bachelor's or Master's degree. By allowing you to combine periods of study time at school and periods of training time in a working environment, this system gives you the opportunity to acquire both theoretical skills and professional experience.
